This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week

The remuneration range for this role is $80,369 to $113,462 p.a. (including KiwiSaver) depending on skills and experience.

The opportunity

Join Tiaki Wai's Operational Analytics and Process Engineering team and play a key role in monitoring drinking water compliance and analysing operational performance across three waters. You'll turn complex data into meaningful insights, support regulatory reporting, and help drive continuous improvement that protects public health and the environment.

You Will

  • Analyse operational and compliance data to identify trends, risks and performance improvement opportunities
  • Deliver high-quality regulatory compliance reporting that meets required standards and deadlines
  • Monitor compliance sampling programmes and maintain accurate, reliable compliance datasets
  • Coordinate investigations into compliance issues and support incident response and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with operational teams, regulators and stakeholders to improve performance and meet legislative requirements

About You

To be successful in this role you will bring:

  • A qualification in science, statistics, engineering or a related discipline
  • Knowledge of legislative and regulatory compliance frameworks
  • Experience analysing data using tools such as Power BI, Python, Tableau or R
  • A background translating technical data into practical insights and recommendations
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with a continuous improvement mindset
