Picture yourself brightening someone’s day. When you join our Hotels team, that’s exactly what you’ll do every time you come to work! You will support the Engineering Department with general maintenance work, to maintain proper conditions of tools, equipment, and working areas throughout the hotel.
As a Handyperson/ PPM, you’re not just responsible for ensuring the normal operation of hotel equipment – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.
Responsibilities
Here’s what you’ll do during a typical day:
- General Maintenance: Perform day-to-day general maintenance duties within the hotel.
- Maintenance Response: Respond promptly to maintenance issues and emergency calls.
- Inspections: Conduct regular inspection tours of the hotel to ensure all operating equipment is working correctly.
- Painting and Decorating: Carry out painting, decorating tasks as directed.
- Engineering Projects: Work closely with the Engineering Team on any projects or schedules.
- Tools & Equipment: Maintain all tools, equipment, and work areas in proper condition.
- Health & Safety: Follow all Health & Safety rules within the Department and the hotel.
- Guest Service: Demonstrate exceptional customer service when engaging with Guests.
- Mechanical Functions: Perform mechanical functions on company vehicles.
- Additional Duties: Perform any other tasks as requested by the Chief Engineer to ensure the smooth operation of the hotel.

In Addition, This Role Requires The Following Minimum Qualifications
- Previous maintenance experience, preferably in a hotel or a similar varied work environment
- Experience working in a team environment
- All round Maintenance ability
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work without close supervision and within the established timeframes
- Strong work ethic
- A passion for managing a variety of projects and tasks throughout the day
