The Role
Reporting to the Head of Sales, you will own a portfolio of accounting-firm and business relationships across the Central North Island, protecting and growing revenue through genuine account management. Based in the region and covering Gisborne, Hawke’s Bay, Manawatu, Whanganui and Taranaki, you will have real ownership of your territory and the scope to deepen relationships and grow the client base.
Key Responsibilities
- Build strong, multi-level relationships with key firms and clients
- Manage and grow a defined portfolio of accounts to hit retention and revenue targets
- Run regular account reviews using CRM and data to surface risk and opportunity
- Identify churn risk early and put recovery plans in place before revenue is lost
- Map territory opportunity, target white space, and expand the client base
- Drive platform and product adoption, stepping in early with low-usage accounts
- Work with BDM, specialist, and cross-functional teams to unlock growth
Key Skills & Experience Required
- Proven account or relationship management experience, ideally in a hunter/farmer model
- Strong professional services or financial services background
- Well-connected across the New Zealand business and professional services community
- Self-starter who manages a varied workload and competing priorities well
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, written and verbal
- Sound financial literacy across margins, cost of funds, and profit
- Collaborative and works well as part of a team
- CA or CPA, SaaS, or regulated B2B channel experience an advantage
- Ability to travel to visit clients. Driver’s licence required.
