To find out more about our organisation visit www.millenniumsg.com.The Regional Account Manager is responsible for supporting and managing the delivery of services across the Millennium Services NZ client network. This includes the support of operational strategies, monitoring internal and external processes, and ensuring a consistent level of service quality and client satisfaction.

The Role

Reporting to the National Operations Manager, the Account Manager is responsible for leading a portfolio of cleaning and security service contracts across the Christchurch region. Working alongside two other Account Managers, this role supports the consistent delivery of high-quality services, strong client relationships, operational performance, and people leadership across multiple sites.

The Account Manager will lead a team of Supervisors and frontline employees, ensuring service standards, compliance requirements, and client expectations are consistently achieved.

As Millennium operates a 24-hour, 7-day-a-week business, this role requires flexibility to respond to operational requirements, client needs, and business priorities outside standard working hours when required.

While the role has a strong focus on leadership and client management, there will be occasions where a hands-on approach is required, including supporting site operations, conducting audits, assisting with onboarding and training, managing service recovery activities, and providing operational support across the portfolio.

Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, quality assurance capability, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Primary Duties And Key Responsibilities

Safety

  • Ensure workers are trained, inducted, and competent to perform their roles safely.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and maintain safe, compliant worksites and equipment.
  • Ensure incidents, hazards, and near misses are reported and managed appropriately.
  • Promote compliance with safety policies through regular communication and engagement.

People

  • Manage rostering, workforce compliance, and payroll processes.
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, training, and employee development activities.
  • Support performance management, coaching, and disciplinary processes.
  • Provide workforce recommendations to support operational needs.

Clients

  • Maintain strong client relationships and deliver contractual requirements.
  • Monitor service quality and ensure compliance with site procedures and standards.
  • Manage reporting, maintenance approvals, and operational documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and business performance.

Operational

  • Oversee site operations, consumables, equipment maintenance, and compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to company systems, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support sustainability and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide operational and site leadership support as required.

Skills & Experience

  • 3-5 years' experience in the cleaning, security, contract services, or a related service industry.
  • Experience leading supervisors and frontline teams across multiple sites.
  • Strong client relationship and service delivery experience.
  • Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Understanding of budgets, labour costs, payroll processes, and operational reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail, quality assurance, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to support a 24/7 operational business.
  • Hands-on leadership style with a willingness to support site operations when required.
  • Full New Zealand Driver Licence.
