Field Operator Predator Free Wellington

We are looking for two enthusiastic and committed people to join our dedicated, fun, and focussed Predator Free Wellington team. These long, fixed term roles run until June 2028, based at our Wellington Depot in Wilton.

About the role

As a Field Operator, you'll play a key role in making Wellington predator free, particularly around the eradication of rodents. You'll be part of a very special project that we are extremely proud to be delivering.

You'll be at the heart of the action, joining the team responsible for servicing a large network of bait stations and traps, pest animal monitoring, camera trapping, participating in innovation discussions on how to tackle this difficult task and recording field data.

Skills and experience required

• A high level of physical fitness and able to carry heavy pack weights
• A proven interest and experience in the outdoors
• Experience delivering operational work in the field
• An ability to learn new skills
• Experience in pest management is desirable
• Knowledge and ability to use Microsoft applications

The remuneration for this position, inclusive of all benefits, is $61,691 to $92,536, with a midpoint of $77,113. Starting remuneration will depend on the skills and experience of the successful applicant and is usually around the middle of the range.
