Silver Fern Farms Hāwera have an exciting opportunity for a reliable and hands-on Building Maintenance Technician to support the ongoing upkeep and compliance of our plant and facilities. This is a dynamic role suited to a self-motivated “jack-of-all-trades” who enjoys variety and takes pride in maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

No two days are the same — you’ll be involved in everything from preventative maintenance to coordinating contractors and ensuring our site meets all building and safety standards. This role is 5 days a week, between the hours of 8am and 5pm.

Ōu Pūkenga /About You

• Broad-based experience or a sound knowledge of industrial automation with a particular emphasis on PLCs, VSDs, SCADA, Rockwell Automation and PC hardware & software.
• A demonstrated knowledge of the legal and legislative compliance conditions and issues associated with plant engineering practices
• Problem solver that uses initiative
• Great attention to detail
• Demonstrates excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
• Pro-actively identify opportunities for improvement and operational efficiency
