Planning & Performance Lead

As we continue to modernise and strengthen how we plan and deliver enterprise change, we’re looking for an experienced Planning & Performance Lead to play a critical role in shaping confident, value‑led delivery across the bank.

This is a senior, high‑impact role where you’ll bring together strategy, delivery reality and enterprise alignment - helping ASB deliver better, sooner and safer.

Te mahi ki ASB | What you’ll do

In this role, you’ll provide enterprise‑level planning and performance leadership across short, medium and long‑term horizons. You’ll orchestrate demand, sequencing and dependencies across portfolios, platforms and delivery teams, creating a clear and trusted enterprise delivery roadmap.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Leading enterprise planning and dependency orchestration, ensuring priorities are sequenced effectively and aligned to strategic outcomes.
• Defining and embedding planning and performance practices aligned to the ASB Delivery Framework, with clear line‑of‑sight from strategy to execution.
• Proactively identifying and working with stakeholders to resolve cross‑portfolio dependencies, constraints and risks, reducing delivery friction and increasing confidence.
• Providing performance transparency, with clear views of progress, risks, capacity and outcomes to support timely, high‑quality decision‑making.
• Partnering closely with Tribes, Platforms, Delivery Chapter and leaders to ensure plans are grounded, executable and capacity‑aware.
• Fronting enterprise‑level forums with credibility, facilitating complex conversations, trade‑offs and alignment with senior leaders.
• Supporting alignment between funding, demand and capacity, enabling disciplined investment and accurate forecasting.
• Lifting enterprise planning capability through coaching, role‑modelling and continuous improvement of tools and ways of working.

We’re Looking For

• Deep and proven experience across programme, portfolio and enterprise delivery environments.
• Strong enterprise planning and orchestration capability, including building integrated roadmaps and resolving cross‑portfolio dependencies.
• A solid grounding in delivery craft, enabling credible partnership with delivery leaders and teams.
• Proven ability to engage and influence senior leaders, driving alignment, decisions and momentum.
• Experience managing financials, capacity and delivery risk in large, complex organisations.
• A collaborative, enterprise mindset, with the courage to surface issues early and support better decision‑making.
