About the role | Ko te kaupapa
We are looking for a Cyclic Patrol Truck Operator to come and join our Road Maintenance team working on the Waimakariri District Council Road Maintenance network.
In this role, you will perform inspections and repairs to the roading network. A day in your life could include:
- Spot metaling potholes
- Inspecting the network and maintaining signage.
- Clearing culverts and controlling vegetation
- Responding to weather events

Experience in a similar role is a bonus, but not essential. If you’re reliable, motivated, and ready to grow, we want to hear from you!
- Class 1 Driver Licence (essential)
- STMS ticket and Class 2 licence are a plus (or we’ll help you get there)
- Full training provided for the right candidate, including RAMM and the Manual of Traffic Signs and Markings (MOTSAM).
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and eagerness to learn.
- Strong time management and ability to work efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
