About the role | Mō te tūranga mahi
We have an exciting opportunity for an Investment Operations Analyst to join ACC's Investments Group based in Wellington. Supporting the effective operation of ACC's $50 billion multi-asset investment portfolio, you'll play a critical role in ensuring investment activities are executed accurately and efficiently. Your work will help provide Portfolio Managers with the information and operational support they need to make informed investment decisions that deliver long-term value for New Zealanders.
Key responsibilities include
- Performing trade matching with counterparties and delivering settlement instructions to ACC's custodian.
- Conducting cash and stock reconciliations across multiple systems and data sources.
- Identifying, investigating and resolving settlement issues in a timely manner.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency while maintaining strong internal controls.
- Providing accurate and timely information to Portfolio Managers to support decision-making.
- Building and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
This is an excellent opportunity to further develop your investment operations expertise within a high-performing team. You'll work alongside experienced Analysts and Senior Analysts, building your knowledge across a diverse range of asset classes while contributing to the ongoing success of one of New Zealand's largest investment portfolios.

We're open to considering candidates from a range of experience levels who can demonstrate a strong foundation in investment operations, financial markets or a related financial services environment.
You are naturally curious, detail-oriented and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and collaboration are critical. You'll be comfortable building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and have the confidence to ask questions, challenge assumptions and contribute to continuous improvement.
We're looking for someone with:
- Investment product knowledge and an interest in financial markets.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve issues effectively.
- The ability to prioritise competing demands and recognise when urgent action is required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across a range of stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team while also taking ownership of your individual responsibilities.
- A growth mindset and a genuine willingness to learn, develop and continuously improve.
- A tertiary qualification in Finance or a related discipline is preferred.
- Experience using Bloomberg is preferred.
