What You’ll Do

As our Health, Safety and Wellbeing Partner, you'll provide strategic health, safety and wellbeing leadership across Genesis. Working alongside leaders and frontline teams, you'll strengthen critical risk management, influence safe decision-making and help continuously improve our Health, Safety and Wellbeing Management System across operational and corporate environments.

Key responsibilities include;

• Partner with leaders to identify, manage and improve critical health and safety risks.
• Lead critical risk assessments, assurance activities and incident investigations.
• Embed and continuously improve Genesis' Health, Safety and Wellbeing Management System.
• Provide trusted advice on operational risk, contractor safety and regulatory compliance.
• Travel across New Zealand to support operational sites with visible safety leadership and frontline engagement.

What You’ll Bring

You'll bring extensive health and safety experience, strong influencing skills and a passion for helping people work safely in complex operational environments.

You will also bring;

• Experience in health, safety and wellbeing within a high-hazard industry.
• Strong knowledge of critical risk management and incident investigation.
• Proven ability to influence senior leaders and operational teams.
• Experience leading audits, assurance activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Understanding of New Zealand health and safety legislation and contractor management.
• A collaborative approach, with the flexibility to regularly travel throughout New Zealand.
