About The Role
Find your further with Ventia as a Vacuum Truck Operator – Stormwater Technician to join our dedicated team based in the beautiful Kaitaia!
As part of our stormwater operations team, you will play a key role in maintaining critical infrastructure and helping keep local communities and waterways safe.
This is a full-time position working 44 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend and night work required.
Key Responsibilities
Operating a vacuum truck and associated equipment
Driving and transporting waste to approved disposal facilities
Servicing and maintaining stormwater infrastructure and devices
Water blasting and cleaning operations
Completing safety and maintenance documentation
About You
NZ Class 2 Drivers Licence
Dangerous Goods (DG) endorsement
Experience in stormwater, drainage, civil construction, or utility maintenance industries
A strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards
A positive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour in outdoor environments
Confined Space and Gas Detection certifications (Advantageous)
