Supply Planner

About the Company

Our client is a well-established food manufacturing business with a significant production site in Tokoroa. The business has recently grown its site capacity and is building out its supply chain team to match.

The Role

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will develop and maintain the supply plan for dairy activities, keeping quality and DIFOT performance on target. You will own inventory control across the NZ business, balancing raw materials, work in progress and finished goods against demand. It’s a newly created position, built off the back of recent site growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain supply plans against production forecasts and customer demand
• Manage MRP outputs in SAP, adjusting for disruptions or demand changes
• Control inventory across raw materials, WIP and finished goods
• Set safety stock levels and reorder points to prevent shortages or overstock
• Work with suppliers directly to resolve delivery issues
• Liaise across production, procurement, logistics and quality to keep supply on track
• Track forecast accuracy, service level and inventory turnover
• Own new SKU set-up and keep master data clean and accurate

Key Skills & Experience Required

• Minimum 5 years’ planning experience in a manufacturing environment
• FMCG or food manufacturing background strongly preferred
• Strong working knowledge of SAP and MRP systems
• Advanced Excel skills
• CPIM or equivalent supply chain qualification an advantage
• Comfortable building relationships across teams and sites
• Based in Tokoroa full time; this role is not open to remote or hybrid arrangements
