Clarence Hotel is a 4-star, 10 room luxury Hotel situated in Tauranga’s historic CBD. We are seeking a professional, enthusiastic and guest-focused team member to join our boutique hotel.
This role combines front desk reception with housekeeping duties and is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in their work and is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences.
About the Role
You will provide a warm and professional welcome to every guest while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout our boutique hotel and beach house.
This is a hands-on role that includes:
- Greeting guests and managing check-in and check-out.
- Managing reservations and responding to guest enquiries.
- Cleaning and servicing our 10 boutique guest rooms and beach house.
- Cleaning restaurant and public areas to an exceptional standard.
- Preparing rooms for arriving guests.
- Working independently and as part of a small, supportive team.
- You will work a combination of early morning and day shifts across weekdays and weekends.
As a small luxury hotel, flexibility is essential. You will be expected to confidently switch between reception and housekeeping duties throughout your shift to meet the needs of our guests.
To be successful you will have
- At least 3 years' experience in a hotel or boutique accommodation environment, including experience in both housekeeping and reception duties.
- At least 1 year's experience providing customer service to high-end or luxury clientele.
- A genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
- A friendly, outgoing and professional manner.
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in maintaining exceptional standards.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Experience using hotel reservation systems, preferably RMS and third-party booking platforms such as Booking.com, Expedia and Airbnb.
- Good computer skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- The ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a small team.
