We are seeking a warm, organised, and community-minded

Village Lifestyle Coordinator to join our team at Richard Hadlee Retirement Village. This role is set to commence at the end of Septemeber 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys bringing people together, creating meaningful experiences, and helping residents stay active, connected, and engaged. Experience coordinating events, social activities, community programmes, or customer-facing services would be highly valued, but it is not essential.

What You'll Do

As our Village Lifestyle Coordinator, you'll be the driving force behind creating a vibrant and welcoming village atmosphere by:

  • Planning and coordinating engaging activities, outings, celebrations, and social events
  • Encouraging resident participation and fostering a strong sense of community
  • Building meaningful relationships with residents, families, and local community groups
  • Managing event bookings, budgets, resident communications, attendance records, and activity calendars
  • Completing administrative tasks, reporting, and documentation to ensure programmes run smoothly
  • Supporting resident wellbeing, independence, and quality of life through inclusive programmes
  • Working collaboratively with village teams to deliver memorable experiences and events

What We're Looking For

We're interested in people who are:

  • Friendly, approachable, and naturally enjoy connecting with others
  • Organised and confident managing multiple activities, events, and administrative responsibilities
  • Comfortable using computer systems and completing reports, resident communications, and event planning documentation
  • Excellent communicators with a positive and professional attitude
  • Passionate about enhancing the lives of older people
  • Experienced in events, hospitality, recreation, community engagement, administration, customer service, or similar fields (advantageous but not required)

As the Village Lifestyle you will be working alongside the wider Activities and Resident Experience team, you'll coordinate engaging activities, events, and functions that enrich the lives of our residents while fostering meaningful connections and a strong sense of community. This full-time role is primarily Monday to Friday, with occasional flexibility required to support special evening and weekend events.
