Te tūranga | The role

Reporting to the Senior Rural Corporate Manager, you’ll take responsibility for the development and ongoing management of a sophisticated Rural Corporate portfolio. Working closely with your customers, you’ll support them to achieve their financial objectives through the delivery of tailored ASB products and services aligned to their individual needs.

In your day‑to‑day work, you’ll prepare, analyse and present complex, large‑scale credit transactions. You’ll manage customer lending, deposits, one‑team referrals and broader banking requirements, ensuring the solutions we provide are fit‑for‑purpose and commercially sound. Building trusted, long‑term relationships will be key, as you deliver outstanding service to a portfolio of high‑net‑worth individuals and recognised industry leaders. Over time, you’ll assume full lead responsibility for these customers as you continue to grow and develop in the role.

This is a full‑time, permanent position based ideally in Timaru or Ashburton, with a car provided.

This is an excellent development opportunity for someone with a proven track record in analysing and structuring complex proposals, paired with strong communication, organisational and time‑management skills.

The role will particularly suit an experienced Rural Manager, or someone with strong financial literacy and a sound understanding of the rural sector, who is ready to take the next step towards a Rural Corporate Manager pathway.
