Youth Support Workers to join our Youth Team in Ōtepoti. We have various full-time and part-time opportunities available.

About the role | He kōrero whakamārama mō tēnei tūranga

As a Youth Support Worker, you'll work alongside rangatahi who may have experienced trauma, adversity, or complex life circumstances. Through positive relationships, consistency, and encouragement, you'll support young people to develop confidence, life skills, and independence while helping create safe, structured, and nurturing environments.

We're looking for people who:

  • Have experience working with rangatahi or in the health, disability, social services, or community sectors.
  • Can build positive, respectful relationships.
  • Understand strengths-based, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive practice.
  • Work well as part of a team and communicate effectively.
  • Bring resilience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting young people.

Essential requirements

  • Full New Zealand Driver Licence.
  • First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain one at our cost).
  • Eligibility to work in Aotearoa New Zealand.
  • Minimum 12 months remaining on a Work or Student Visa (if applicable).
  • Availability to work rostered shifts, including weekends.
