If you're looking for a role where you can influence the future of privacy, data and AI governance while working alongside great people in a global technology business, we'd love to hear from you.

The Opportunity

As Gallagher continues to expand globally and accelerate its use of AI, SaaS platforms and digital products, we're looking for an experienced advisor who can help the business innovate and expand globally with confidence.

This is a highly collaborative role sitting at the intersection of legal, technology and commercial decision-making. You'll partner with leaders across Product, Information Services, Risk and Commercial to ensure privacy, data protection and responsible AI considerations are embedded from the outset - not added as an afterthought.

This isn’t a traditional compliance role. It's an opportunity to help shape how a global technology business adopts AI and emerging technologies responsibly, balancing innovation, commercial outcomes and privacy obligations. Rather than simply identifying risk, you'll work alongside the business to put practical guardrails in place that enable teams to move faster with confidence.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Advise on privacy, data governance and responsible AI across strategic business initiatives
  • Partner with Product teams to embed privacy by design
  • Support the adoption of emerging technologies while managing privacy and regulatory risk
  • Lead privacy impact assessments for new or changing uses of information
  • Develop practical governance frameworks and processes that enable innovation and growth
  • Advise on global privacy obligations, market expansion and cross-border data use

The Fit

You're someone who enjoys helping a business solve complex technology and data challenges. Rather than sitting on the sidelines, you like partnering with stakeholders early, understanding commercial objectives and finding practical ways to manage privacy and regulatory risk without slowing innovation.

To Succeed In This Role, You’ll Bring

  • Strong knowledge of privacy regulations, preferably with a strong understanding of the GDPR and/or privacy laws in the United States, New Zealand and Australia.
  • Experience advising on privacy or data protection within a large, complex organisation
  • Exposure to SaaS, software, technology products or digital transformation initiatives
  • A pragmatic, commercially minded approach - you know how to build relationships while confidently holding your ground when it matters
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence leaders across legal, technology and commercial teams
  • The ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical business outcomes
  • Experience with AI governance, data governance, customer assurance or other emerging technology initiatives would be highly regarded
  • Experience working within or supporting global, multi-jurisdictional organisations would be a strong advantage
