• Lead the mobile and web apps at the centre of a global, NZX-listed SaaS growth story

• Champion AI development tools and shape how a scaling team builds

Welcome to our World of Cold! At AoFrio, we are global leaders in providing IoT solutions to the food and beverage industry. Our innovative technology and dedicated team have positioned us at the forefront of our market.

The Opportunity

We’re on a global growth path, and our connected technology sits inside commercial refrigeration around the world — helping businesses cut energy use, run smarter, and support a better world. Our mobile and web apps are how customers see and control that fleet. As we scale, the application suite shifts from supporting the business to driving it. This role leads that work.

The Role

As Software Engineering Manager, you’ll own the development and maintenance of AoFrio’s mobile and web application suite. You’ll provide technical leadership to cross functional development squads — setting the standard for architecture, security and code quality in an enterprise B2B environment — while still making a significant hands-on contribution to team throughput. This is a role for someone who leads from the front: shipping alongside the team, not just directing it.

You’ll lead the design, development and delivery of scalable web and mobile applications that sit at the centre of AoFrio’s strategy — the platforms that turn connected hardware into services our customers rely on. You’ll build high-performing teams, drive agile and secure development practices, mentor engineers, and champion AI development tools to accelerate delivery and sharpen our competitive edge. The pace you set here directly shapes how fast AoFrio can grow.

What You’ll Bring

• Application development experience at a senior or lead level, including solid experience building and leading strong engineering teams.

• Proficiency in Flutter, Dart and agile project management.

• A genuine habit of ongoing learning applying AI advances, automation and new approaches to lift efficiency, improve the user experience, and gain a competitive edge.
