We're seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager with a background in Civils to lead the civil works on a major commercial construction project in Auckland.

About the Role: We're looking for a Project Manager with a

Civils background to:

  • Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of the civils package on a large-scale commercial construction project.
  • Manage site logistics and ensure smooth operations throughout.
  • Collaborate with the team to control project costs, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Lead and manage the civils project team, and subcontractors, working closely with team Planners and Engineers.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety standards, building codes, and regulations.
  • Proactively manage risk and resolve issues as they arise during the project lifecycle, ensuring clear communication of any operational impacts.
  • Oversee project documentation, including contracts, permits, and safety reports.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • At least 10 years of experience in civil project management, particularly in commercial construction.
  • Demonstrated success in managing large projects from start to finish.
  • Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, contracts, and safety protocols.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and manage time effectively.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g. Primavera 6).
