We're looking for a Digital & Social Media Coordinator who can bring our brand to life through compelling digital storytelling. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative, proactive and people-focused content creator who loves getting out from behind the desk, finding great stories, and turning them into engaging content that connects with our customers, shareholders, suppliers and wider trade community.
This part-time position (30 hours per week), based at our Parnell Support Office, offers the best of both worlds: flexibility and the chance to make a real impact by bringing the Plumbing World brand to life through compelling storytelling and audience engagement.

About The Opportunity
Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, you'll play a key role in planning, capturing, creating and publishing content across our digital channels.
Every day across Plumbing World, there are stories worth sharing. From customer successes and supplier partnerships to product launches, community initiatives, branch events and behind-the-scenes moments, you'll be responsible for uncovering those stories and bringing them to life through engaging digital content.
Working closely with teams across the business, you'll help strengthen our brand visibility, build audience engagement and showcase the expertise, culture and relationships that make Plumbing World unique.
What Your Day Will Look Like
Content Planning & Pipeline Management
- Build and maintain a proactive pipeline of content opportunities from across the business.
- Develop and manage content calendars aligned with campaigns, events and commercial priorities.
- Collaborate with branches, sales teams, suppliers and support functions to identify stories worth sharing.
- Support marketing campaigns through content planning, scheduling, publishing and reporting.
Content Capture & Creation
- Capture high-quality photo and video content across the Plumbing World network.
- Create engaging short-form videos, reels, stories, social posts and campaign assets.
- Write compelling and on-brand copy for social media, website and digital channels.
- Confidently engage with employees, customers and suppliers to uncover authentic content opportunities.
- Ensure all content reflects Plumbing World's brand, values and tone of voice.
Social Media & Digital Channel Management
- Coordinate and manage content publishing across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and website platforms.
- Schedule, publish and monitor content performance.
- Maintain brand consistency across all channels.
- Support website content updates and digital campaign activity.
Performance & Continuous Improvement
- Track, monitor and report on content and channel performance.
- Identify trends, insights and opportunities to improve engagement and reach.
- Recommend content enhancements and new storytelling opportunities based on performance data.
Digital Trends & Innovation
- Stay current with emerging digital trends, platform updates and content formats.
- Explore new ways to connect with audiences through creative and engaging content.
- Trial new ideas and formats that help strengthen brand awareness and audience engagement.
What we need from you
- Experience creating content for social media and digital platforms within a marketing, communications or brand environment.
- Strong photography, videography and basic editing skills.
- Experience creating engaging short-form video content for social media.
- Excellent written communication skills and the ability to adapt your writing style for different audiences.
- Confidence using social media scheduling, publishing and reporting tools.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A creative mindset combined with excellent attention to detail.
- A proactive, self-starting approach and the confidence to build relationships across all levels of the business.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with key stakeholders.
- Experience using Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, Meta Business Suite or similar tools would be highly regarded.
- A full New Zealand driver's licence and willingness to travel throughout our branch network.
