About The Role

We are looking for a Medical Claims Assessor to join our dynamic Medical Claims team. In this role, you’ll assess and manage medical claims accurately and efficiently, with empathy, transparency, and a commitment to delivering outstanding service to our clients and advisers.

What you'll bring

  • Proven experience in insurance and medical claims.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with a high standard of correspondence.
  • A customer-first mindset, with the ability to manage relationships empathetically and professionally.
  • Ability to manage a busy workload independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Attention to detail and high standards in accuracy, compliance, and record keeping.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and confidence in learning new systems.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide clear and transparent claims decisions and support clients and advisers through the claims journey.
  • Manage claims efficiently from start to finish: loading, assessing, documenting, and processing payments.
  • Ensure timely collection and review of medical information to make accurate claims decisions.
  • Refer claims appropriately according to set procedures and guidelines.
  • Contribute positively to team performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate and auditable claim records using internal systems.
  • Stay current with Partners Life products, insurance processes, and claims philosophy.
