About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity to join our supportive team as a Barista. This is a full-time position working Monday to Thursday 0730 - 1600, and Friday 0730 - 1800 at our Pioneers Café based at our Russley Road office in Christchurch.
As you will be handling alcohol you must hold a License Controller Qualification (LCQ) and Duty Manager’s License
In this role you will
- Make coffee - Experience making coffee is essential as this role works independently
- Craft other delicious beverages, maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the café
- Provide an excellent food and beverage service in the café for team members, customers and visitors
- Promote a welcoming and caring atmosphere in the café
- Work closely with, and support your colleagues
About You
To thrive in our supportive and caring environment you will have:
- Previous experience as a Barista in a busy cafe environment
- Outstanding communication and customer service skills with the ability to multitask with coffee making, serving customers and food service
- Strong empathy with a friendly and approachable demeanour
- A reliable, friendly and professional manner with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
