The Role
This is an exceptional opportunity for a senior technology consulting leader to join a high-performing professional services organisation as a Client Partner.
Operating at the intersection of business development, strategic advisory, and delivery leadership, you will build trusted relationships with CIOs, CTOs, CEOs, and executive leaders while driving both revenue growth and successful delivery outcomes.
You will be responsible for identifying opportunities, shaping tailored technology solutions, and leading engagements from initial conversations through to execution. Rather than selling products, you will focus on understanding client challenges, crafting bespoke solutions, and bringing together the right expertise to deliver measurable results.
Alongside winning new business, you will nurture and expand existing client relationships, identify growth opportunities, and ensure delivery excellence across a portfolio of engagements. Commercial performance, client success, utilisation, team composition, and margin management will all sit within your sphere of influence.
You will also act as an ambassador within the New Zealand technology market, representing the organisation through industry forums, executive conversations, networking opportunities, and thought leadership initiatives.
Role Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Significant experience within technology consulting, professional services, systems integration, or a similar services-based environment
- A proven ability to build and maintain executive-level relationships with C-suite and senior business leaders
- Strong business development capability, with a track record of winning work through consultative and solution-led engagement
- Experience leading complex technology programmes and client engagements from inception through delivery
- Commercial acumen across utilisation, resource planning, contract management, budgeting, and margin performance
- The ability to identify client opportunities, shape solutions, and develop compelling proposals and responses
- Experience leading and influencing multidisciplinary teams within Agile, Scrum, or contemporary delivery environments
- A strong network within the New Zealand technology sector and the credibility to operate as a trusted advisor
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and relationship management skills
- A proactive, self-directed approach with the ability to balance strategic thinking and hands-on leadership
