The opportunity

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will take full responsibility for the performance of our Lower Hutt branch.

You'll lead from the front - driving sales, strengthening customer relationships, and building a motivated, high-performing team.

This is not a desk-based role! You'll be visible, engaged, and actively involved in the day-to-day operation of the branch, including supporting the team at the trade counter during peak periods.

To be successful in this role you will bring:

  • Proven leadership experience in a sales-driven or trade environment
  • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to drive growth
  • A passion for building customer relationships
  • The ability to coach, develop and motivate a team
  • Operational discipline and attention to detail
  • A hands-on leadership style
  • Physically fit as there will be some heavy lifting (up to 20kgs)
  • Pride in your personal appearance
  • A full, clean NZ driver's licence
  • A valid forklift licence is preferred but not essential
