Make an Impact at Serco

As an Intelligence Support Officer, you'll play a key role in supporting the Intelligence Unit by maintaining intelligence information, responding to requests for information and assisting in the preparation of intelligence products. Working closely with Intelligence Analysts and operational stakeholders, you'll ensure information is managed accurately, securely and in accordance with policy while contributing to the safety and security of the facility.

Located in Wiri, South Auckland, Auckland South Corrections Facility is one of New Zealand's newest and most innovative correctional facilities. Operated by Serco, the facility focuses on safety, rehabilitation and reintegration, creating positive outcomes for the people in our care while helping make communities safer.

As an Intelligence Support Officer, you'll make a positive impact by:

  • Maintaining intelligence records and databases to ensure information is accurate, current and secure
  • Supporting the preparation of intelligence reports, briefings and analytical products
  • Researching, collating and presenting information to support intelligence operations
  • Responding to requests for information from internal and external stakeholders
  • Supporting major incidents and operational activities through effective information management
  • Building strong working relationships while maintaining confidentiality and professional standards

To Be Successful In This Role, You'll Have

  • Experience in data entry, records management or information administration
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records and databases
  • Experience researching, collating and presenting information
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
  • The ability to prioritise work, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • High levels of integrity and the ability to manage confidential information appropriately
  • Previous experience in intelligence, law enforcement, corrections or a related environment will be highly regarded
