Join our dedicated and collaborative Wellington‑based crew, supporting essential transmission infrastructure across the Lower North Island — including Manawatū‑Whanganui, Hawke’s Bay, and Wellington. We’re seeking experienced Transmission Line Mechanics who thrive on hands‑on field work, enjoys travelling to rural locations, and values being part of a skilled, safety‑focused team.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Transmission Linesman/Line Mechanic
  • EWRB Line Mechanic Registration (Transmission)
  • Trainee Line Mechanic Registration also accepted
  • Solid technical skills and experience in transmission or high‑voltage environments
  • Willing to work away from home in rural/remote areas
  • Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and quality workmanship
  • Valid driver's licence

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Maintenance, construction, and repair of transmission towers and structures
  • Installing, replacing, and stringing conductors, insulators, and hardware
  • Inspecting and maintaining earthing systems, foundations, and tower components
  • Climbing and working safely at heights in varying weather conditions
  • Supporting planned maintenance, emergency response, and fault work
  • Completing hazard reporting, following SWMS, and working within strict safety standards

What’s On Offer

  • $35 to $42 per hour depending on experience
  • 40 hours per week, with additional hours available
  • Travel and accommodation paid when working away
  • LAHA (Living Away From Home Allowance) provided
  • Supportive, experienced team based in Wellington
