Chief Information Officer

Habit Health

Pacific Health Group is one of New Zealand's largest providers of integrated health and wellbeing services, with recent expansion into the Australian market. We're looking for an experienced technology leader to step into our Chief Information Officer role and join our Senior Leadership Team, helping shape the future of technology across our organisation in New Zealand and Australia. This is a dual-site role, with your time split between our East Tamaki and Shortland Street offices throughout the week.

This is an opportunity to lead far more than an IT function. You'll be responsible for delivering a technology strategy that enables business growth, supports ongoing acquisitions, strengthens cybersecurity, modernises our digital capability, and creates an exceptional experience for our people and customers.

About The Role

Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, you'll lead a team responsible for infrastructure, cyber security, applications, service delivery, business systems, and work with our Chief Innovation Officer on development and digital transformation.

This is a broad, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys operating across strategy and execution in a fast-paced organisation. One day you might be presenting a technology roadmap to the Board, the next you're helping prioritise competing business needs, guiding a major systems integration, or working alongside your team to solve day to day operational challenges.

Our environment isn't built around a single enterprise platform. We operate across a complex ecosystem, including multiple Microsoft technologies, in-house and third-party applications, virtual data centres and a private nationwide WAN/LAN. We operate within a continually evolving technology landscape that underpins a growing healthcare business across New Zealand and Australia. This is a role for someone who enjoys navigating change and complexity, bringing clarity to competing priorities, and delivering practical technology solutions that enable business success.

About You

You're an experienced technology manager who has led broad technology portfolios within complex commercial organisations, and you will understand how to bring together multiple systems, vendors, business units and stakeholders into one cohesive technology strategy.

You'll also bring:

  • Proven experience leading extensive technology functions across infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity and digital transformation
  • Experience working in commercially focused organisations where cost effective technology is a key business enabler
  • A track record delivering systems integration, transformation programmes and organisational change
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing significant technology budgets and vendor relationships
  • A collaborative, approachable leadership style that builds trust across technical and non-technical teams
  • The ability to balance strategic thinking with a willingness to roll up your sleeves when needed
  • Experience leading high-performing technology teams through periods of growth and change

Most importantly, you're personable, adaptable and pragmatic. You know that successful technology leadership is just as much about relationships, influence and communication as it is about technical expertise.

Why join Pacific Health Group?

This is an opportunity to genuinely influence the future direction of a growing organisation. You'll join a team that values collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement, while leading technology that directly supports better health outcomes for communities across New Zealand and Australia.

In return, we offer:

  • Senior leadership opportunity with significant organisational influence
  • Competitive remuneration package
  • A collaborative and values-driven culture
  • The opportunity to lead meaningful digital transformation across a complex healthcare organisation
  • Well-being initiatives, including annual eye exam, flu vaccination, access to EAP services and discount on various healthcare services

If you're looking for a role where you can combine strategic leadership with practical delivery and leave a lasting impact, we'd love to hear from you.
