Te tūranga | The role
As a Business Banking Account Manager, you will be responsible for providing frontline service to a portfolio of high value Small and Medium sized Business customers and assist with their day-to-day banking requirements. As crucial first line support, you will prepare credit submissions for new and existing clients, as well as review and manage on-going business.
No two days are the same - one day you might be helping a business owner secure funding for expansion. The next, you'll be working alongside specialists to identify new opportunities, strengthen customer relationships and deliver solutions that make a real difference.
To be successful in this role you will use your sound business lending, account management and analytical skills coupled with exceptional relationship skills and the desire to consistently deliver over and above service to your clients. You'll constantly look for new ways to enhance the relationship with your clients and make their banking easier for them.
This is a full-time permanent role, ideally based in Hamilton or Tauranga.

You'll bring a strong understanding of business banking and enjoy partnering with customers to help them succeed.
- Previous experience managing business banking relationships and lending portfolios.
- Strong credit analysis and financial assessment capability.
- The confidence to engage with business owners and understand complex commercial needs.
- Excellent relationship management and communication skills.
- A customer-first mindset with a passion for delivering great outcomes.
- Strong attention to detail and sound risk judgement.
- A collaborative approach and desire to contribute positively to your team.
