About the Role

As the Technical Change Facilitator, you'll play a key role in supporting the implementation of technical and operational change across the business. Working alongside Technical Advisors, Operational Leaders, Managers, Supervisors, Team Leaders, and HSQE teams, you'll help evaluate, document, communicate, and embed improvements to work practices, procedures, competencies, and compliance requirements.

You'll be instrumental in ensuring changes are understood, adopted, and sustained through coaching, collaboration, training, assurance activities, and continuous improvement initiatives

Role Responsibilities

The Technical Change Facilitator supports the successful implementation and embedding of technical changes, industry legislation, and best practice across Northpower's operational teams. Working closely with Technical Advisors, operational leaders, and HSQE teams, the role develops and improves work practices, procedures, and technical documentation while promoting safe, compliant, and efficient ways of working. The position provides technical coaching and capability development, supports training initiatives, and helps build frontline leadership through collaboration and continuous learning. It also contributes to audit and assurance activities, monitors the effectiveness of implemented changes, maintains compliance documentation, and ensures teams remain informed of regulatory requirements. Through continuous improvement and innovation, the Technical Change Facilitator identifies opportunities to enhance safety, operational performance, and productivity while supporting business improvement initiatives and sharing lessons learned across the organisation.

Experience

You'll be someone who enjoys influencing others, building strong relationships, and making complex technical information easy to understand and apply.

You'll also have:

  • Electrical or Engineering qualification or a current practising licence.
  • Experience within the electricity distribution, utilities, or infrastructure industry.
  • Strong understanding of operational risk management and technical safety.
  • Knowledge of industry legislation, compliance requirements, and best practice.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, facilitation, and influencing skills.
  • Strong report writing and computer literacy.
  • A proactive, collaborative, and solutions-focused approach.
  • Audit and risk management knowledge (preferred).
