ROLE SUMMARY
ACG Queenstown is seeking a permanent, full-time Uncertified ECE Teacher to join our early learning team. We have 2 early learning schools in Queenstown, and our approach is deeply rooted in the RIE and Reggio Emilia philosophies, which places children at the centre of their learning journey. By encouraging exploration, curiosity, and collaboration, we empower children to take an active role in their education. Teachers, families, and children work together to create a rich, inquiry-based learning environment that extends beyond the classroom.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with Room Leaders to implement an innovative, inquiry-driven curriculum.
- Observe and document children’s development to support personalised learning.
- Create safe, engaging indoor and outdoor environments that promote exploration.
- Build strong, respectful relationships with families and involve them in their child’s learning journey.
- Work as part of a reflective, inclusive team culture.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute fresh ideas.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE
- A genuine passion for early childhood education and supporting young children’s learning and development.
- Warm, respectful interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships with children and whānau.
- A positive, proactive attitude and a willingness to learn from experienced teachers.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to contribute positively to a collaborative teaching environment.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, for engaging with colleagues and documenting learning
- Interest in understanding Te Whāriki, New Zealand’s early childhood curriculum framework and a desire to grow capability in play‑based, child‑led learning.
- Reliability, professionalism, and the ability to follow centre policies, health and safety requirements, and daily routines.
