Customer Service & Operations Support

Are you a hands-on, customer-focused team player who thrives in a busy branch environment? Hynds is looking for a Customer Service & Operations Support person to join our Kaiwharawhara branch (with occasional support at Naenae).

This is a varied, on-your-feet role at the heart of our branch operations — one day you might be helping a customer find the right product, the next you're loading trucks, running the forklift, or keeping the yard shipshape. What You'll Be Doing

• Customer Service & Sales
• Support our customer service team and provide sales assistance to branch customers
• Build genuine, productive relationships with customers
• Deliver service that meets the high standard Hynds is known for

Yard, Stock & Deliveries

• Complete customer deliveries and load/unload trucks safely and efficiently
• Keep stock correctly placed, coded, and easy for customers to find
• Operate the forklift to move product around site
• Receive inwards goods and help maintain accurate stock levels
• Take part in stocktakes and cycle counts

Branch Presentation

• Keep the branch, yard, and showroom clean, tidy, and well presented
• Front-face and organise stock so it's easy to shop
• Support 5S and general housekeeping practices

Health, Safety & Teamwork

• Follow safe work practices and wear the right PPE
• Speak up on hazards, near misses, and incidents
• Pitch in wherever the team needs a hand, including training new starters

What We're Looking For

• A genuine passion for customer service and getting things right
• A team player who communicates well and pulls their weight
• Someone who's accurate, reliable, and handles busy periods with a level head
• Willingness to build strong product knowledge over time
• Ability to safely handle and move product up to 20kg
• A full NZ Class 1 driver licence with F endorsement
• Forklift experience is a plus (or willingness to be trained)
