Days required: Rotating roster, including weekends & public holidays

Hours per week: 30 to 35 hours per week

Hourly Pay: $30-$35 per hour

We are a busy hospitality business in Otago committed to delivering high-quality food and excellent customer service. We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our restaurant and ensure exceptional customer service and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, organise and direct the overall operations of the restaurant.
Manage daily front-of-house operations and ensure excellent customer service.
Plan menus in consultation with the Chef.
Organise special functions and catering events.
Recruit, train, supervise and roster staff.
Monitor staff performance and ensure service standards are maintained.
Manage purchasing, stock control and supplier relationships.
Maintain records of stock, sales and financial transactions.
Ensure compliance with food safety, licensing, health and safety and employment legislation.
Resolve customer complaints professionally and efficiently.
Develop strategies to improve sales, profitability and customer satisfaction.
Ensure the restaurant is clean, safe and presented to a high standard.Skills Required:

Applicants should have either

NZQF Level 5 or higher qualification in Hospitality Management, Business or a related field; or
At least three years of relevant management experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment.

Applicants should also

Have proven leadership and people management skills.
Possess excellent communication and organisational abilities.
Be capable of working under pressure in a busy hospitality environment.
Have sound knowledge of budgeting, stock control and customer service.
Be available to work flexible rostered hours including weekends and public holidays.
