About The Role
We’re looking for a hands-on Marketing Manager to join us on a 13-month fixed-term contract.
You'll be stepping into a marketing function that's already in good shape. So this role is less about reinvention and more about momentum. That said, marketing a B2B/B2C, double-sided marketplace means there will be plenty of variety within your role. As a generalist, you’ll have the opportunity to work across the full mix.
You'll be on the tools as much as you're guiding others, working closely with a small, capable team rather than managing from a distance. You'll report to our General Manager, lead and work with two Marketing Executives day-to-day, and work alongside our Performance Marketing & Analytics Lead.
About You
- Leads through trust: You take the time to know your team individually, and guide and support them rather than direct from above. You handle feedback openly and positively and create the kind of environment where a small team does its best work. You'll be working closely with your two Marketing Executives every day, and that's exactly your style.
- Earned confidence: You can step into an established role; listen, ask great questions, and learn the business before you start changing it. You're smart enough to know when to sit back and absorb, and when to step forward and share.
- Adaptable: Priorities shift, opportunities appear, and you adjust without drama. You put what's right for the business and the customer ahead of being right.
- A hands-on doer: You lead by example and are keen to roll your sleeves up alongside the team, whether that's prompt engineering, digging into GA4, or jumping into Figma or Canva.
- Commercial and data-driven: You weigh the business impact of marketing priorities, spot trends in data, and soak up anecdotes from Sales and Support to turn them into messaging and campaigns that resonate.
How You Will Add Value
- Leadership & teamwork: Lead, guide and genuinely mentor two Marketing Executives through trust and collaboration rather than top-down direction.
- Strategy & OKRs: Champion and deliver the established marketing strategy, own quarterly OKRs and their delivery, and operate within the FY27 budget.
- Brand & content: Maintain Builderscrack's brand presence across all touchpoints. Connect directly with tradies and homeowners to create authentic content. Produce and oversee on-brand content across email, web, organic and paid social, radio and video.
- Top-of-funnel & marketplace balance: Own top-of-funnel awareness and work cross-functionally to balance homeowner demand with tradie supply.
- Earned PR & reputation: Pitch data-backed angles to land press coverage, and oversee community and reputation management across review platforms and social channels.
- Marketing ops, enablement & insights: Utilise data and reporting to surface opportunities across our funnels, and strengthen the processes that move marketing goals forward.
Note: SEO, Google SEM and paid search are owned and managed by our Performance Marketing & Analytics Lead. As Marketing Manager you'll stay across overall performance and spend, but you won't be required to manage these accounts.

- Proven experience as a Marketing Manager or in a similar leadership role
- Background in B2C/B2B, SaaS, or digital marketplaces
- Broad generalist skills across the full marketing mix and funnel
- Comfortable with a fast-moving, small-business rhythm
- Enthusiastic about integrating AI into your marketing practice
