Operator Labourer (Class 4) – Selwyn

HEB Construction is seeking a reliable and motivated Operator Labourer (Class 4) to join our Selwyn Digout/Stabilisation Crew. Based in Selwyn, this role is key to delivering high-quality civil works across our roading and construction projects.

We’re looking for someone who is hands-on, safety-focused, and comfortable working across both truck driving and general labouring duties on active civil sites.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Operating Class 4 trucks to support digout and stabilisation works
• Assisting with digout, subgrade preparation, and stabilisation activities
• Carrying out general labouring duties including site clean-up and manual tasks
• Supporting plant operators and crew to ensure efficient workflow
• Working safely on active civil construction sites
• Completing daily vehicle checks and ensuring compliance with safety and transport requirements
• Collaborating with Forepersons and Supervisors to deliver project outcomes

What We’re Looking For

• Full NZ Class 4 licence (Class 5 advantageous)
• Experience in civil construction environments, ideally digout or stabilisation work
• Willingness to get off the truck and labour as part of the crew
• Strong health & safety focus and situational awareness
• Reliable, punctual, and a team player with a positive attitude
• Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively
