We're looking for an experienced Executive Assistant to join our Leading Risk Management (LRM) team, providing trusted support to the Executive General Manager and Leadership Team. This is a highly visible role where you'll be at the centre of a dynamic, fast-paced environment, helping senior leaders stay focused on delivering strategic outcomes for ASB.
Te Tūranga | The role
As Executive Assistant, you'll provide exceptional executive, organisational and administrative support to the Executive General Manager and Leadership Team. You'll be responsible for managing competing priorities, coordinating complex schedules, building strong stakeholder relationships and ensuring the smooth operation of a busy executive office.
Key responsibilities
- Proactively managing a complex executive diary and inbox
- Coordinating executive meetings, travel and schedules
- Building trusted relationships across ELT, leadership teams, Executive Assistants and stakeholders throughout the bank
- Preparing and coordinating board papers, presentations, reports and leadership documentation
- Organising key leadership events and business activities
- Managing expenses and supporting governance and compliance processes
- Providing administrative support across projects and initiatives
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and operational efficiency
- Supporting other Executive Assistants across the division when required

You'll be a highly organised and proactive Executive Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys partnering with senior leaders to help them achieve their goals.
You will bring:
- Significant Executive Assistant experience supporting senior executives
- Experience preparing presentations, reports and papers for Boards and Executive Leadership Teams
- Previous experience in programme administration beneficial
- Exceptional organisation, prioritisation and time management skills
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building capability
- The ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with absolute discretion
- Resilience and the ability to manage multiple moving parts simultaneously
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills and strong technology literacy
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- A continuous improvement mindset with a proactive approach to problem solving
