The Role
As an Assistant Project Manager, you will support the successful delivery of infrastructure projects while developing your project management capability within a consultancy environment.
Working alongside experienced Project Managers and Senior Project Managers, you will be exposed to all phases of the project lifecycle and play a key role in coordinating project activities, maintaining stakeholder relationships, and ensuring projects run smoothly.
This is a highly visible role that will suit someone who enjoys working with people, is highly organised, and is looking to build a long-term career in project management.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Supporting the management of infrastructure projects from planning through to delivery
- Coordinating project documentation, reporting and governance requirements
- Assisting with programme, risk and budget management activities
- Attending and coordinating design team meetings
- Working closely with consultants, contractors and client representatives
- Monitoring project progress and assisting with action tracking
- Supporting procurement and contract administration activities
- Building strong relationships with project stakeholders
- Preparing project reports, meeting minutes and status updates
- Contributing to successful project outcomes through proactive coordination and communication
Role Requirements
We are seeking an emerging project management professional with a genuine passion for infrastructure and project delivery.
You Will Ideally Offer
- 1-3 years of experience within project management, construction, infrastructure, engineering, architecture or a related field
- Exposure to project delivery environments and multidisciplinary consultant teams
- Strong communication and relationship management skills
- Excellent organisational and administration capability
- Confidence coordinating meetings and managing competing priorities
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn from experienced professionals
- A relevant tertiary qualification in engineering, construction, architecture, property, project management or a related discipline
- A desire to progress your career within project management consultancy
