This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week
The remuneration range for this role is $108,644 to $165,316 (including KiwiSaver) depending on skills and experience.
The opportunity
Tiaki Wai is seeking a skilled Senior Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of complex, high-value capital works projects.
In this senior role, you’ll work closely with the Team Leader Project Delivery to deliver a diverse programme of infrastructure projects across the region. You'll ensure that each project aligns with our delivery standards and meets key objectives around time, cost, quality, and safety.
- Manage the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple Capex-funded infrastructure projects
- Ensure alignment with programme governance and reporting requirements
- Identify and mitigate project risks, and proactively manage escalations
- Lead contract scoping and negotiate value-driven agreements with suppliers
- Foster a strong health and safety culture across all project stages
- Support the professional development of junior project managers
About You
To be successful in this role you will bring:
- A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Process Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
- 5–10 years’ experience delivering complex infrastructure or engineering projects
- Deep understanding of project management principles and delivery frameworks
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong commercial awareness and risk management capability
