Position Purpose

The Developer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining reliable software solutions across Black Pearl’s product suite. This role contributes independently to feature development while collaborating closely with the broader engineering and product teams.

The Developer balances delivery with quality, applying best practices to create scalable, maintainable applications across front-end and back-end systems.

You are a capable and confident software developer with experience delivering production-ready applications. You take ownership of your work, enjoy solving problems, and are comfortable working across the full stack.

You value clean architecture, testing, and collaboration, and you’re ready to deepen your technical expertise while contributing meaningfully to team outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Software Development

• Design and implement user-facing features and backend services
• Develop and consume APIs and data-driven components
• Ensure performance, security, and maintainability of solutions

Code Quality & Best Practices

• Write well-structured, testable, and reusable code
• Participate actively in code reviews
• Follow established development standards and practices

Collaboration & Agile Delivery

• Work closely with product managers and designers to deliver solutions
• Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
• Support integration with third-party services and platforms

Qualifications And Experience

• 2–4 years of professional software development experience
• Experience with web development frameworks (React, Angular, or similar)
• Experience with back-end development using .NET or similar technologies
• Familiarity with SQL or NoSQL databases
• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure preferred)

• Reliable delivery of features and enhancements
• High-quality code with minimal rework
• Strong collaboration and growing technical independence
