Administrator - Academic Results
Ara Institute of Canterbury
Permanent, Full Time
- Be part of a trusted academic results team
- Keep results accurate and on track
- Work across City and Woolston campuses
Mō Tēnei Tūranga Mahi – About the Role
This role plays a key part in managing academic results at Ara. You’ll be part of the team that keeps things running smoothly, working closely with academic staff to make sure results are processed accurately, on time, and in line with Ara processes.
Day to day, you’ll coordinate the finalisation and publication of results across programmes and courses. That means keeping track of where things are at, following up where needed and making sure everything is entered and approved correctly in the system.
You’ll also be involved in graduation processes and support the wider Curriculum and Academic Records team to maintain high-quality data. The work shifts depending on the academic calendar, and you will work across both City and Woolston campuses, building relationships with staff and supporting them through the results process.
You will develop a strong understanding of the regulations that underpin academic results and become a go-to person for advice and guidance.
Ngā Pūkenga Me Ngā Wheako – Skills and Experience
We’re looking for an administrator who has experience working with systems and data. If you’ve worked in a tertiary environment or with records before, that will help, but more importantly, you’re comfortable juggling deadlines, getting the details right and supporting others through processes that need to run smoothly.
Ideally, you’ll have:
- A relevant tertiary qualification
- Strong administration experience, ideally in a tertiary or similar environment
- Confidence using Word, Excel, and picking up new systems quickly
- Experience working with databases or records, with a focus on accuracy
- The ability to manage your own workload while staying connected to the team
- A practical approach to problem solving and prioritising competing tasks
- Clear, professional communication, both written and verbal
- A strong sense of confidentiality and good judgement with sensitive information
- A customer-focused approach and willingness to help others
- Good attention to detail and a consistent, reliable way of working
- Flexibility and the ability to adapt as priorities, systems and processes shift
