We are looking for Butchers in our site in Invercargill.

We are looking for people who

• Have previous knife-hand experience, preferably with meat products
• Are physically fit and reliable
• Have a positive and hardworking attitude
• Are team players and can work with others well
• Can follow health, safety and quality requirements in the workplace
• Can adapt to change and have an open mindset.

Main duties include but not limited to:

• Cutting of products or removing bones and valuable by-product
• Working both independently and with other team members to cut, trim, bone, and slice meat
• Preparing meat cuts to customer specifications
• Mincing, grinding, dicing, and marinating meats
• Operating knives and meat processing equipment in a fast-paced environment
• Checking deliveries and verifying quality and quantity of meat
• Following food, health and safety regulations

The ideal applicant will have the following skills and abilities:

• Minimum 2 years' work experience or relevant qualification
• Knife Skills
• Proven record of reliable attendance
• Have the ability to work well in a team and fast-paced environment
• Can pass a pre-employment drug test and medical
• Ready to learn new skills
• Flexibility to help out from time to time with extra hours/shifts

You will need to be comfortable standing on your feet for extended periods, be of good

physical fitness for these roles, have reliable transport, and be a good team player.
