We’re looking for a Senior Physiotherapist in Concussion & Rehabilitation to join our specialist rehabilitation service. In this role, you'll use your clinical expertise to support people recovering from concussion and mild traumatic brain injury, helping them achieve the best possible outcomes and return to work, study, sport, and everyday life.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced physiotherapist who is passionate about concussion rehabilitation and enjoys working as part of a multidisciplinary team. Alongside managing a varied clinical caseload, you'll provide clinical support and mentoring to colleagues, contribute to service development, and help drive excellence in client care.

Main Responsibilities

  • Deliver high quality, evidence-based physiotherapy services for clients recovering from concussion and mild traumatic brain injury
  • Manage a complex clinical caseload, developing personalised rehabilitation programmes that support clients to achieve their goals
  • Work collaboratively with occupational therapists, psychologists, rehabilitation support staff, GPs, specialists, and other health professionals to deliver coordinated care
  • Provide clinical mentoring and support to physiotherapy colleagues and contribute to a culture of continuous learning
  • Promote best practice in concussion assessment, rehabilitation, and return-to-work planning
  • Build strong relationships with clients, whānau, referrers, funders, and community stakeholders
  • Contribute to service development, quality improvement initiatives, and the ongoing success of our concussion rehabilitation programme

The Successful Candidate Will Have

  • Current registration with the Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand and a current Annual Practising Certificate
  • At least five years' clinical physiotherapy experience, ideally including concussion, neurological, musculoskeletal, or community rehabilitation
  • A passion for concussion rehabilitation and helping clients achieve meaningful recovery outcomes
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary rehabilitation teams
  • Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and relationship building skills
  • Confidence mentoring colleagues and sharing clinical knowledge
  • A commitment to person centred, goal focused, evidence based care
  • A full driver's licence, as travel across the region is required
