About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead an organisation delivering vocational education and training solutions nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
As well as managing operational delivery, you’ll be leading the organisation through a transition process where employee engagement and continuity of service provision are critical.
You’ll be:
- Managing operational delivery ensuring continuity of service delivery and service performance.
- Managing the organisation’s financial performance and statutory obligations.
- Managing relationships across the sector and with industry partners.
- Managing the transition process.
- Leading employees through the transition, ensuring they remain informed, engaged and supported.
Skills & Experience Required
This is a role for an experienced operational and people leader who understands change management and has experience leading change processes.
- At least 5 years experience working in the vocational education sector, ideally gained working for an ITO or PTE.
- Proven experience operating at Executive Director, Chief Executive or General Manager level.
- Experience managing operational delivery.
- An understanding of best practice change management and experience leading change.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage employees and external stakeholders.
- A pragmatic and hands on approach.
This is a 12 month fixed term contract, starting as soon as possible. The hours are full-time and there will be some travel.
While the role can be based in Auckland or Wellington, the preference is for Auckland.
