Mary Potter Hospice provides specialist palliative care services for people living in Wellington, Porirua and Kāpiti. We provide equitable, compassionate, patient- and whānau- centred, free-of-charge hospice care for patients, families, whānau and carers in the places they call home, and at our Inpatient Unit in Newtown.

About the role

Mary Potter Hospice is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Community Registered Nurse to join our Porirua-based community team. As we transition to a more centralised model, our single multidisciplinary team coordinated from our Porirua base will support patients from Wellington to Kāpiti. This is a permanent part-time position for 32 hours.

In these deeply rewarding roles, you’ll provide specialist palliative care to people with life-limiting illnesses, helping them maintain the best possible quality of life in the comfort of their own homes.

Desired Skills and Experience

What we are looking for

  • NZ Registered Nurse with current Annual Practicing Certificate.
  • Ideally, palliative care experience (two years post-registration) or community nursing experience, though we provide training for the right candidate.
  • NZ residency or a valid work visa.
