The People Solutions Team is looking for someone with a passion for People & Capability to step into a key support role on a fixed term basis until December 2026, working 32 hours a week, covering leave. If you enjoy operating in fast-paced environments, have exceptional data entry, coordination and customer service skills, and pride yourself on your attention to detail and confidentiality – we’d love to hear from you! To thrive in this role, you will have previous experience operating in a P&C / HR Admin or Coordinator role.

Te āhuatunga a te tūranga | About the role

  • Payroll data entry and coordination: Supporting payroll processing across 7 days of the 10-day working fortnight, including starters, leavers, and changes via a shared inbox. This includes handling a high volume of manual data entry during peak periods.
  • TechOne upgrade testing
  • Creation of reports in Excel for weekly, fortnightly, monthly, and annual reports

Ō pūmanawa | Your skills and experience

Experience

  • Prior use of TechOne Payroll (or a comparable payroll system) coupled with intermediate Excel, Word & PDF skills / experience.
  • Ability to absorb terms of process and policies as well as terms and conditions of employment for payroll coordination and entering.
  • An understanding of relevant employment legislation (desirable).

Skills

  • Methodical, logical, and accurate approach to work.
  • Adaptability to shifting priorities and inbox demands.
  • Excellent customer service and ability to work under pressure to meet payroll deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and strong confidentiality.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

The position is located in Tauranga and as a part-time role, there is some flexibility in determining hours over the 5-day working week.
