PX Trading Limited is a New Zealand trading business specialising in the supply and sale of fresh meat and related products. Hourly Rate: NZD $29.66–$35.00 per hour (depending on skills and experience)

Hours of Work: Minimum 30 hours per week, maximum 50 hours per week

Working Days: Monday to Saturday

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare meat for sale by boning, trimming, cutting, slicing, mincing, and grinding meat to the required size and specification.
  • Prepare crumbed, marinated, seasoned, and cured meat products.
  • Select and prepare meat for the production of smallgoods.
  • Operate meat processing equipment, including grinders, mixers, mincers, and tenderising machines.
  • Prepare seasonings, marinades, and curing mixtures by combining spices, salt, and other ingredients.
  • Operate sausage filling machines, smoking chambers, cooking kettles, and other meat processing equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic work environment in accordance with food safety standards.
  • Provide customers with advice on meat cuts, preparation methods, and suitable cooking options.
  • Assist with stock rotation, inventory control, and product display.
  • Assist with menu planning, production scheduling, and estimating food production requirements when required.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years' relevant work experience in the butchering or meat processing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of meat preparation techniques and food safety practices.
  • Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Physically fit and capable of performing manual handling tasks.
