About the role
As the Event Sales and Planning Executive - Weddings & Social at the prestigious Park Hyatt Auckland, you will be responsible for selling and planning Weddings and social events at the Hotel. This is a full-time, on-site position located in the Auckland CBD. In this strategic role, you will ensure an exceptional experience and the overall satisfaction of our discerning wedding and event guests.
What you'll be doing
Solicit and manage all weddings and social events for the Hotel, as well as other events as needed by demand
Maintain high standards of customer service and ensure a seamless, personalized experience for all potential and confirmed clients, maintaining a highly regarded reputation for the Hotel
Oversee and manage the accounts receivable process for all clients, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, processing of payments, and resolution of any billing discrepancies.
Coordinate and manage the annual Park Hyatt Auckland Wedding Showcase
Monitor industry trends and competitor offerings
Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and licensing requirements
Collaborate with the hotel's management team to align the wedding goals with the overall business objectives
Prepare the annual Wedding Strategy for the year and set KPIS to achieve with the hotel
Qualifications
What we're looking for
Experience (1+ years) in a similar wedding role, preferably within a luxury hotel or resort setting
Proven track record of achieving targets and delivering exceptional customer service
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to create and maintain lasting relationships with guests and vendors.
Experience in cross-functional collaboration that supports client expectations with operational feasibility
In-depth knowledge of wedding trends and industry best practices
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work a rotating roster to accommodate weekend weddings and events.
Relevant qualifications in events, particularly in weddings
Applicant must have valid working rights in New Zealand
