About The Role

We're looking for an experienced Workday

People Systems Analyst to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract covering parental leave.

We have an ambitious FY27 People Technology roadmap ahead of us and are looking for a people-focused tech superstar to help bring it to life. Working across Workday, reporting and analytics, learning, process improvement and emerging People Technology initiatives, you'll play a key role in delivering enhancements that improve the experience of our people and leaders.

From reporting uplift and automation through to learning and capability initiatives, this role offers the opportunity to work on meaningful projects while supporting one of New Zealand's leading health and wellbeing organisations.

Workday experience is essential, and experience with Workday Learning, Workday Reporting and Power BI will be highly regarded.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Support, configure and continuously improve Workday and related people platforms.
  • Design and deliver scalable system solutions that balance business needs, employee experience, risk and compliance requirements.
  • Develop and maintain Workday reports, dashboards and people insights that support operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Partner with stakeholders across the business to understand requirements and translate them into practical, sustainable system solutions.
  • Support delivery of our FY27 People Technology roadmap, including reporting and analytics uplift, learning enhancements, process automation and employee experience improvements.
  • Lead testing, validation and release activities for system changes, enhancements and new functionality.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve data quality and reduce manual effort through better system design.
  • Investigate and resolve system, process and data issues, ensuring strong governance and data integrity.
  • Support audit, risk and compliance activities, ensuring People Systems operate within established controls and regulatory requirements.
  • Proactively identify system, process and data risks, recommending improvements to strengthen security, governance and control effectiveness.
  • Contribute to a high-performing People Systems team focused on continuous improvement, operational excellence and great user experiences.

About You

You'll be someone who enjoys solving problems, working with data and partnering with stakeholders to deliver meaningful outcomes. You'll be equally comfortable building reports, configuring systems and helping shape future improvements across our People Technology landscape.

You'll Bring

  • Proven experience working with Workday in a People Systems, HRIS or HR Technology role, including configuration, business process support and system enhancements (essential).
  • Experience developing reports, dashboards and insights using Workday Reporting, with exposure to reporting and visualisation tools such as Power BI.
  • Experience with Workday Learning (highly desirable).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into meaningful insights and recommendations.
  • A people-first mindset, with a passion for delivering technology solutions that create great experiences for employees and leaders.
  • The ability to simplify complexity, translating technical concepts, system changes and data into clear, practical information for a range of audiences.
  • Experience delivering system enhancements from discovery and design through to testing and implementation.
  • An understanding of system governance, security, risk management and controls within a regulated environment.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, a continuous improvement mindset and a commitment to getting the most value from technology.
