The role
This senior role is the fulcrum of the agency's media planning and buying output to clients, but it’s not simply another Planning Director role. You will help define the quality of thinking across one of New Zealand's leading independent agencies. You will influence some of our biggest client relationships, mentor outstanding future planners, shape new products and services, and help determine how AI transforms modern media planning.
The work you do will lift the capability of the whole agency.
You will have ultimate responsibility for the overall quality of media planning and buying work delivered for clients across its portfolio of accounts and for the quality of client service. This role also drives this expertise through junior team members and expands their skillset to understand how the agency can support clients beyond media.
You will focus on delivering outstanding responses to client media briefs and crafting insightful and effective media plans that reflect insights, incorporate innovation and incorporate the latest media market insights. You should be confident in spotting opportunities for diversified services across Together's suite of other services. You must be proactive in the ideation of new services and product offerings, taking a proactive role in supporting their Consultant team lead, who will be responsible for driving these.
· Market-leading, digitally ambitious Media Work: high quality and future-focused omni-channel media responses, reflecting our ambition to be the leading media agency in Aotearoa.
· Client leadership: Day to day leadership of relationships with clients.
· Input into new business: Supporting leadership with relevant new business opportunities.
· Engaged & Motivated Team: Team inspiration and media planning skills development.
· Evolve how we work: Contribute to better processes, systems and adoption of AI into team workflow.
What you will to bring to Team Together:
- Degree in relevant subject from recognisable institution
- Proven 8 years omni channel media planning experience
- Exemplary client relationship management skills
- Strong leadership skills – talented at leading and growing others
- Consistently “above the line” behaviours and accountable for all that you do
- Commercial acumen
- Strong knowledge of all media channels, and comfort with Google Analytics, and key Programmatic Media channels such as DV360, Google Ads and META
- Curiosity with AI, Data/Marketing Science, Data Strategy and tagging.
