Senior Analyst Information Management

Tiaki Wai

This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week.

The remuneration range for this role is $101,125 to $142,765 p.a. (including KiwiSaver), depending on skills and experience.

The opportunity

At Tiaki Wai, being able to quickly access high-quality information when we need it is vital to us being able to effectively and efficiently deliver three waters services. Growing stakeholder awareness of the water sector highlights the importance of maintaining reliable information - to set priorities, improve efficiency, and maintain transparency.

In this senior-level role, you will lead the charge to uplift the information management maturity and capability of Tiaki Wai through developing, implementing and maintaining effective information management processes and practices. You will also play a key role in driving the adoption and use of the new Tiaki Wai information management system, ensuring it supports better information management across the organisation.

With the support of others in your team, you will be working with people all over Tiaki Wai to:

  • Champion good information management processes and behaviours

  • Provide training and support

  • Understand their information management needs and challenges and support the development of processes and solutions to address these

Additionally, you will:

  • Lead the delivery of both core services and planned project work, including supporting and coaching others in your team to deliver that work with you

  • Provide subject matter expertise in information management practices to initiatives across the organisation and work cross-functionality with those project teams to support the successful delivery of those initiatives

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification, or equivalent experience in a relevant field including information and records management

  • 4+ years’ experience in information management, including records management and process and standards development

  • Experience working with SharePoint Online

  • Experience with training, coaching, and mentoring other staff in and outside of your team.

  • Knowledge of modern information management frameworks, intranets, taxonomies, principles, practices, and technologies

The ideal candidate will have strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills as well as a strong customer focus to complement your ability to build effective peer and working relationships. On top of this, you can effectively cope with change and handle risk and uncertainty, adjust your approach as appropriate to the situation, and apply a continuous improvement focus to both your work, and the work of others.

About our team

The Digital Products and Services (DPS) team develops and maintains digital products and provides digital services used by Tiaki Wai and the community.

The Data, Information & Analytics team champions the importance of quality, well-managed data and information across all parts of Tiaki Wai. The function provides Asset Management, Geospatial, Time Series, Analytics, and Information Management expertise to both DPS and Tiaki Wai.
