Test Manager

Te Tūranga | About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Test Manager to lead quality engineering and testing delivery across Silver Fern Farms' technology transformation landscape.

Reporting to the Quality Engineering Practice Manager, you'll provide leadership, governance, and direction for testing activities across a diverse portfolio of technology initiatives, including our Core Modernisation programme, platform enhancements, and business-as-usual delivery.

You'll be responsible for developing and maintaining testing strategies, frameworks, and standards that enable successful delivery outcomes while driving consistency, quality, and continuous improvement across our technology ecosystem.

Working closely with project teams, technology specialists, vendors, business stakeholders, and delivery leaders, you'll play a key role in ensuring solutions are fit for purpose and delivered with confidence.

What You'll Be Responsible For

• Developing and delivering the project's overall test strategy, including non-production environment and test data approaches.
• Planning, coordinating, and governing testing across multiple workstreams, systems, and integration points.
• Leading test execution across functional, non-functional, integration, user acceptance, operational readiness, and release testing.
• Managing test risks, dependencies, issues, and defect resolution activities.
• Establishing traceability, reporting, and quality metrics through Azure DevOps and other project tools.
• Partnering with project stakeholders, vendors, and delivery teams to ensure quality outcomes are achieved.
• Supporting environment planning, simulation capabilities, and test infrastructure requirements.
• Providing governance and recommendations for test entry, exit, and stage-gate approvals.

We're Looking For Someone Who Brings

• Significant experience leading testing and quality engineering activities across complex technology environments.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, including functional and non-functional testing.
• Experience developing and implementing enterprise-level test strategies, governance, and delivery frameworks.
• Proven ability to work across projects, platforms, and operational technology teams.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience leading, mentoring, and supporting testing teams.
• Strong risk management, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making capability.
• A continuous improvement mindset and passion for quality outcomes.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Office 365, and modern testing practices.
• ISTQB Advanced Test Manager, Advanced Test Analyst, or equivalent qualifications (preferred).

Experience working with automation programmes, enterprise platforms, or large-scale systems integration projects will be highly regarded.
